Recently, a batch of customized integrated whole-winding Marine Airbags produced by Qingdao SunKai Marine Supplies Co., Ltd. completed manufacturing and quality inspections, and is about to be shipped to an overseas port project. Relying on mature integrated whole-winding molding craftsmanship and on-demand customization service capabilities, the enterprise continues to provide rubber airbag solutions adapted for various vessel launching and floating transfer operations to domestic shipyards and overseas shipping clients.

Vessel launching operations place stringent demands on the load-bearing capacity, airtightness, and tear resistance of airbags. Airbags manufactured using traditional joint-lapping techniques are prone to air leakage and bursting hazards under long-term pressure at the splicing joints, making it difficult to satisfy the high-frequency launching needs of large vessels and ocean engineering ships. To address these issues, SunKai Marine highlights its integrated whole-winding airbags, resolving the structural and technical shortcomings of traditional products.

Marine Airbag

During the production stage, the entire airbag is molded by alternately winding one layer of rubber-dipped nylon cord fabric and one layer of rubber diagonally, followed by comprehensive mechanical rolling to ensure a tightly bonded body completely free of internal air bubbles. The airbag mouth, conical end-heads, and the cylindrical body are seamlessly wound into a single integrated unit. Highly stressed joint positions are heavily thickened and reinforced to eliminate stress concentration points, ensuring uniform force distribution. Consequently, anti-bursting and wear-resistant performances are significantly enhanced compared to traditional joint-lapped airbags, extending the operational lifespan by over 30% under identical working conditions. High-purity natural rubber blended with a specialized seawater-resistant modified formula is selected as the raw material; its outer rubber layer boasts robust anti-aging and salt-mist corrosion resistance, adapting perfectly to long-term immersion environments in coastal areas, inland rivers, and overseas ports.

Targeting the diverse demands of different clients, SunKai Marine adheres to a full-process customization service. The technical team conducts one-to-one calculations for the airbag diameter, effective length, number of cord fabric layers, and rated working pressure based on the client's vessel tonnage, slipway slope, and operating water environment. Whether for small fishing vessels, thousand-ton cargo ships, or specialized buoyancy airbags for caisson floating and shipwreck salvage, the specifications and parameters can be adjusted flexibly. Meanwhile, protective tire networks or polyurea wear-resistant coatings can be equipped upon request to adapt to complex operating sites such as gravel slipways and reef-lined shores.

From the order connection phase, the enterprise's technical personnel simultaneously provide a reference blueprint for the launching construction scheme, alongside a complete set of auxiliary materials including inflation valves and pressure gauges. Upon production completion, every single airbag undergoes dual testing for inflation pressure-retention and load-bearing impact, followed by the issuance of a comprehensive factory inspection report to seamlessly satisfy the customs clearance and classification society verification requirements of domestic shipping enterprises as well as overseas clients in Iran and Southeast Asia.

Principal in marine protective equipment such as marine airbags and dock rubber fenders, SunKai Marine owns a complete in-house production line covering mixing, winding, and vulcanization. All processes are completed autonomously without any outsourced contract manufacturing, which not only guarantees stable product quality but also enables flexible adjustments to production cycles to match clients' urgent delivery requests. Currently, besides supplying major shipyards in Shandong, Jiangsu, and Fujian provinces domestically, the enterprise's customized airbag products are exported in batches to ports in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, steadily accumulating long-term overseas cooperative clients through customized adaptability and stable, durable product performance.

The head of the enterprise stated that moving forward, the company will continue to optimize its integrated whole-winding craftsmanship and rubber formulas, expand the customized product categories of high-tonnage and high-pressure specialized airbags, and leverage the geographical logistics advantages of Qingdao Port to deliver more comprehensive customized maritime equipment services for the domestic and international shipping and shipbuilding industries.
